New School Soft Drink Policy

One new school policy is that they are trying to prevent all the carbonated beverages from the schools and replace them with something more healthy. In high schools they have bottled water, sports drinks, 100 percent juice, and trying to have no more than 50 percent of the vending selcetions be a soft drink. They want students in our school to be drinking more healthy beverages and not soft drinks. Elementary schools have no soft drinks in there schools. The middle schools have no full calorie soft drinks. Child obesity is becoming a problem and they feel this could be one way to help over come people from being it. To find out more about this policy check out the soft drink industry issues new school policies
Do you think that this policy is right?
Do you think this will help students stop drinking so much pop?

I don't think that soft drinks should be taken out of schools. I think this because its not the schools fault that people are over weight and it should be the students choice if they want to drink pop or not.

Your article has alot of meaning behind it. I am glad that the ABA made a policy about all the soda in the schools. Having low calorie drinks in the school will limit the amount of soda the students drink.

I agree with you about my post. If they would make that a rule here at our school i would probably transfer to a different school because i love wearing hoodies, and it is alway cold in this school. Thanks for the comment! :))

i don`t think its right for excluding pop from schools. Its not the schools fault for overweight children. Its only going to make the kids to have the urge to drink more pop.
